What is Grounded?
Grounded is our group for students at Widcombe Baptist Church.

University is an exciting and unique time where students have many opportunities to share the Gospel.
Widcombe as a church would like to encourage and equip students to be rooted and built up in Christ and the Gospel so that you can share this message on Campus.
We do this by meeting every Sunday for a Bible-based talk and discussion.

We firmly believe that there is nothing more exciting, more wonderful and more satisfying than knowing Christ.
Our desire is that everyone would come to know more of Christ and live for him more wholeheartedly during their time at university.
What?
Every Sunday we meet for lunch straight after the morning service.

One-2-Ones
Whilst at Widcombe, we encourage students to sign up for a ‘One-to-one’.
This is an opportunity to meet up with an older member of the church to look at the Bible together, pray and develop friendships.
It is a great way to get to know the wider Church family and deepen your understanding of God’s Word.
Weekend Away
Each year we have the privilege to go away for a weekend together, probably during Inter-Semester Break.
This is a wonderful time for building relationships, focusing on God's Word and worshipping together.
There will also be lovely food, games, chances to grow in confidence understanding the Bible for ourselves and perhaps even a dip in the sea!
